What Constitutes a "Sale" Under CCPA?

Under CCPA, "sale" is broadly defined and may include sharing personal information with third parties for valuable consideration, even if no money changes hands.

"Selling," "selling," or "sale" means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer's personal information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.

What We Consider a "Sale":

Authorized Agents:

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 days and respond substantively within 45 days. If we need more time, we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay.
